Elisabeth de Brabant Art Center
Housed in an unmistakably French Concession 1933 building on Fuxing Xi Lu, the Art Center is a four-story town house that was stripped down to its rudiments and carefully restored brick by brick. Each of the exposed bricks holds the original stamped signature of the artisan that crafted them. The building’s true meaning and historical allure run parallel to Elisabeth de Brabant’s vision for the art works it houses. Unlike a bare white gallery space, this French Concession art destination takes on a new approach in Shanghai to promote artistic exchange and more sophisticated platforms for many of the artists that it supports.
The Art Center is a platform for dialogue and creative vision around Chinese Contemporary Art. Art Programs include resident artists and art exhibitions, lectures, workshops and symposiums, all of which aim to encourage intellectual collaboration between collectors, artists and art lovers.

In 2008, she founded the Elisabeth de Brabant Art Center, a space of artistic dialogue and creative vision. While dedicated primarily to the exhibition of Contemporary Chinese Art, the Art Center also promotes artistic exchange with art programs such as, lectures, workshops and symposiums, all of which aim to encourage intellectual collaboration between collectors, artists and art lovers.
