Leng Hong was born in Shanghai, and graduated from the Shanghai Theatre Academy (Department of Fine Arts). He went on to work as a Researcher and Professor at the Chinese Painting Institute of Shanghai between 1978 and 1986. Since 1986 he has been living and working between France and Canada, and has had numerous solo exhibitions in museums, galleries and international art fairs in China, Japan, Singapore, France, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Great Britain, Canada, Mexico and the United States.
His works have also been shown nationally and internationally in various auctions. Leng Hong is currently a Pluralistic Professor at the Fine Art College of Shanghai University.
